![]() Holly Williams kicked off the evening in front of the sold-out audience at The Englert by featuring songs from her new CD The Highway. "Waiting on June" was probably the most poignant and well-received song of the night, but the gal and her hubby guitarist sure do put it out there. John Hiatt acted like he was out on stage for the first time. By that I mean that he was having a ball interacting with audience, pulling faces, and dancing a jig while wandering through his extensive catalog. Although his band can be delicate and warm when needed, they can suddenly build up steam and soon we were listening to "The John Hiatt Band Does Crazy Horse"! Sure would like to get a tape of that show.
